The YAKSTARS is an aerobatic display team flying six warbird Yak 52s aircraft in precise combinations of tight formations and exciting aerobatics, high speed passes and breath-taking crosses.

It is a Spanish-Portuguese aerobatic display team and is the first in the Iberian aviation history - military and civilian - composed by pilots from both countries. At the moment, The YAKSTARS is the largest civilian aerobatic display team existing in Southern Europe and one of the largest in the world.

The concept was created and developed after several Yak Meetings where pilots from the Spanish and Portuguese Teams had the opportunity to exchange ideas and flight positions within the teams. 

 

Since their creation, the team have earned a reputation of excellence and professionalism, ​delighting hundreds of thousands of people throughout the Iberian Peninsula. Dedication, Precision and Dynamism... are the words which come to mind when watching the spectacular aerobatics performed by the YAKSTARS.

Their bases are in Casarrubios (LEMT) near Madrid, Spain, and in Ponte de Sor (LPSO), Portugal.
